“Casuals Reimagined” is a reinterpretation of the British “Casuals”, a hooligan subculture that thrived in the 1980s and 1990s. Inspired by the Hong Kong magazine ‘Milk’s Louis Vuitton editorial piece, “Casuals Reimagined” aims to present the idea of how Casuals may have appeared had the subculture emerged within London in 2025.

Traditional depictions of working-class subcultures in the UK tend to be gritty and cold; in contrast, this project intentionally adopts a warmer and softer tone, subverting expectation without glamourising the underlying culture.
